MANILA, Philippines – Magna Prime Chemical Technologies, Inc. (MPCTI) recently accepted an invitation from the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) to conduct an educational session on essential waterproofing methodologies using its Buildrite brand. The seminar, held on November 12, 2025, drew an enthusiastic audience of over 150 architecture students, all eager to expand their knowledge of construction best practices.
The session began with an address from Magna Prime’s President and CEO, Inv. Derrick Tan, who provided an insightful overview of waterproofing history, its classifications, and its significance in modern construction. His presentation traced the evolution of waterproofing methods, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding structural durability and building integrity.
Adding a practical dimension to the seminar, Ar. Ed Ramirez presented best practices for waterproofing applications. He focused on crucial steps such as surface preparation, material selection, and advanced techniques for optimal results, providing students with a clear understanding of the procedures required to ensure long-lasting and reliable waterproofing performance.
