Laboratory Assistant / Technical Applicator

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare tools, materials, equipment, and surfaces needed for practical demonstrations
  • Assist in setting up mock-ups and demo structures according to training plans
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of training equipment
  • Monitor and update the inventory of tools and consumables
  • Conduct cleaning and maintainance of training tools and laboratory equipments
  • Coordinate the purchase or borrowing of addtional materials required for taining
  • Assist trainers and participants during the actual hand-on activities
  • Observe safety protocols and assist in orienting participants on equipment use
  • Record usage and status reports of tools and equipment
  • Help dismantle mock-ups and restore the training site after activities

Additional Tasks

  • Perform on-site application of Buildrite products based on technical instructions and training
  • Set up and prepare surfaces, tools, and materials for each assigned task
  • Follow the correct techniques and procedures in product mixing, handling, and application
  • Assist in setting up mock-up areas and product demonstration platforms
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of tools and equipments
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards including PPE usage.
  • Support Technical Engineer and Team Leaders during evaluations and troubleshooting
  • Provide accurate feedback on application issues or field observations
  • Load, unload, and transport tools and materials during deployments
  • Assist in measuring quantities and laying out application areas as instructed
  • Help dismantle demo areas or clean work sites after project completion
  • Attend team briefings, skills trainings, and performance evaluations regularly

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Architecture, Industrial Technology, or any related technical or vocational course.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a construction laboratory, technical training facility, construction site, or related field.
  • Experience in preparing construction materials, tools, and equipment for demonstrations or technical applications is preferred.
  • TESDA certifications in construction trades (e.g., Masonry, Carpentry, Concrete Works) are an advantage.
